A new Vermont bill passed the Legislature on May 30, 2025, and was signed into law by Governor Phil Scott on June 11, 2025.
Vermont Assembly Bill H.484 will expand the range of products managed by the PaintCare program in the state from architectural coatings to a broader array of paint product types.
Implementation plans are under development and are pending submission to and approval by the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources. PaintCare will provide updates to manufacturers on an ongoing basis.
