Register now in our newest PaintCare states. To be represented by PaintCare, manufacturers that sell or ship architectural paint products into PaintCare states are required to register with PaintCare by the time the programs begin. A separate registration is required for each state.
Illinois
The Illinois program began on December 1, 2025.
Maryland
The Maryland program is expected to launch April 1, 2026.
How to Register
Registration is done through PaintCare’s reporting portal at www.paintcarereporting.org.
Add a State
If your company is already registered with PaintCare for another state, simply check the box(es) for Illinois and/or Maryland. The reporting functions for these states will become available one month after each program starts.
For any manufacturers with existing remitter agreements in other states, please note that those agreements will not automatically apply to Illinois or other new PaintCare states. These companies should follow the steps in the Existing User Guide on www.paintcarereporting.org (Page 7) to establish new remitter agreements for Illinois.
Registering for First Time
Create an online profile at www.paintcarereporting.org by entering basic contact information, selecting the type of registration (based on whether you intend to have remitter agreements with other companies regarding reporting), and signing (via a check box) the Participant Agreement.
