Product Recognition Tool

PaintCare has partnered with technology company Rubbish to create an AI-powered tool that helps paint users easily learn which leftover products are likely accepted at PaintCare drop-off locations.

To use the tool, users will need to grant the web-based tool access to their phone’s or computer’s camera. Next, point the Rubbish camera window at the paint product embedded window to take a photo, or follow the prompts to upload a photo. Rubbish will identify whether or not your item is likely covered by the PaintCare program, and may be dropped off at PaintCare’s participating drop-off sites for recycling and reuse.

The Rubbish AI tool is only meant to provide guidance, and results are not 100% guaranteed to be accurate. Users should still ask your drop-off location for final clarification on accepted products and amounts at their location. Find a list of products accepted by PaintCare here.
